In case you missed it, Level Infinite and Tencent showed off a wide array of games from global partner studios at Summer Game Fest 2024.
To be exact, seven new titles were showcased at the various Summer Game Feast 2024 streams, and they include Honor of Kings, Dune: Awakening, an Aloft from TiMi Studios’, along with Critter Café, DEATHSPRINT 66, Parcel Corps and Stampede: Racing Royale from Secret Mode.
To start, we have Aloft, a co-op sandbox survival game set in a world with floating islands. This game will be released on Steam later this year, with developer Astrolabe Interactive partnering with Funcom to publish the game.
Next is Critter Café which is a simulation game from Sumo Newcastle and Secret Mode where players are tasked with rescuing lost critters from all over the world. Once rescued, players can integrate these critters into their cafés to interact with customers. Think of it like a cat cafe sim, but with all sorts of fantastical creatures instead of just felines.
Sumo Newcastle and Secret Mode are also working on DEATHSPRINT 66,, an action game set in a dystopian gameshow where players must participate in on-foot racing combined with a deadly obstacle course.
Also in the works is Dune: Awakening, an open world survival MMO that will feature an alternate timeline while still featuring many elements that Dune fans should be familiar with.
For MOBA fans, there’s the upcoming Honor of Kings which is a huge hit in China and is finally coming globally tomorrow, June 20. This game was also given the spotlight by Level Infinite at the Summer Game Fest ahead of its release.
There’s also Parcel Corps, an action-adventure titled from Billy Goat Entertainment and Secret Mode that will be released September 3, 2024 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. What’s more, a demo of the game is out now on Steam.
During Play Days, Grinding Gear Games showed off Path of Exile 2, the long-awaited sequel to the hit action-RPG Path of Exile. With the game already in closed beta, the Play Days showcase showed off new combat footage with enhanced twin-stick controls.
Finally, there’s Stampede: Racing Royale from Sumo Leamington and Secret Mode which combines kart racing with battle royale elements, with matches featuring up to 60 players. This game will also come out on Early Access and Game Preview in 2024.
