At Nintendo Direct, Capcom revealed Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, a collection of seven classic Marvel titles in one.
This collection promises to be a must-buy for both fighting game and Marvel fans who grew up in the 90s and the 2000s as it includes an array fo classics such as the first two Marvel vs. Capcom games along with other hidden Marvel gems.
To be exact, here are the seven titles that are part of the collection:
- X-MEN CHILDREN OF THE ATOM
- MARVEL SUPER HEROES
- MARVEL vs. CAPCOM CLASH OF SUPER HEROES
- MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes
- MARVEL SUPER HEROES vs. STREET FIGHTER
- X-MEN vs. STREET FIGHTER
- THE PUNISHER
Aside from bringing back these classic games, this collection will also feature an array of enhancements, including:
- Online Play – All of the games in the collection will have online ranked, casual, and lobby matches unlocked for players to face off against fellow fans around the world
- Rollback Netcode – Fighting game afficionados will be happy to now that online play for the collection is supported with rollback netcode for a stable experience
- Global Leaderboards – Players can track their online play journey which is great news for those with a competitive streak.
- Training Mode – All games will come with a training mode for players to practice the various combos.
- Spectator Mode – Players can watch other players duke it out in all seven games in the collection.
- Music Jukebox, in-game Museum, and more.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will be released on PS4, Switch, and PC sometime in 2024. For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release date.
