A new Zelda game was revealed at the June 18 Nintendo Direct titled The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and it’s coming to the Switch in September.
As Tears of the Kingdom was released just a year ago, this new Zelda game won’t be related to that. Instead, this game is more like the Link’s Awakening remake from 2o19 as it looks very much like that game. Instead of being a follow-up to Link’s Awakening though, this is a new game with a unique twist – players will only be able to control Zelda in this game.

While the game seems to reuse assets from Link’s Awakening (not that we’re complaining as it looks incredibly cute), the fact that this game features Zelda as the playable character should make this a must-play for fans as it will introduce fresh new gameplay features.
What’s more, it seems that this game will take cues from the open-world Zelda games given the interactivity shown in the trailer. For instance, players can create Echoes with the Tri Rod to solve various environmental puzzles.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on September 26, 2024, on the Nintendo Switch.
