After teasing the phone recently, vivo finally launched the new Y28 in the Philippines, and it’s the brand’s newest budget smartphone contender.
The vivo Y28’s claim to fame is that it’s a reliable and long-lasting smartphone. This is thanks to its combination of a massive 6,000mAh battery and IP64 rating.
Thanks to the large battery, the phone should easily be able to last for a full day on a single charge. What’s more, it should also charge fairly quickly as, despite its less than PHP 10k price tag, the phone features a 44W fast charger inside the box. Meanwhile, its IP64 rating means it should be dust and water-resistant which should be great for longevity, especially for users with active lifestyles.
Powering the vivo Y28 is a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset that comes with 8GB of RAM (with 8GB of extended RAM) alongside 256GB of onboard storage. The phone also has a 6.68-inch HD+ 90Hz screen and a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup.
This new budget smartphone is priced at PHP 7,999, and it comes in two colorways: Gleaming Orange and Agate Green.
The new vivo Y28 is available now in the Philippines in physical stores nationwide or online through the vivo website, Shopee, and Lazada stores.
