The Wild Robot Philippines cinema release date announced

Catch The Wild Robot in PH cinemas later this year.

Universal Pictures recently shared a new trailer for The Wild Robot, a new animated film from DreamWorks that’s coming to cinemas in the Philippines this October.

As a new DreamWorks Animation project, this upcoming film features a cute style, not to mention that it promises to have a moving story as it’s based on Peter Brown’s #1 New York Times bestselling novel.

The film’s premise is described as:

“The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short — that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.”

The Wild Robot stars Lupita Nyong’o (Us, The Black Panther) as robot Roz, Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian) as Fink, Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek) as Pinktail, Bill Nighy (Love Actually) as Longneck, Kit Connor (Heartstopper) as Brightbill, and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Vontra.

Also joining the cast are Mark Hamill (of Star Wars fame), Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows), and Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible).

The Wild Robot is coming to cinemas in the Philippines on October 9, 2024.
