Xbox recently announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is coming to Game Pass on July 24 (US Time), making it the first game in the franchise to become available on Xbox’s subscription service.
To be exact, the game will be available on Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate. Subscribers will be able to play both the game’s single-player campaign along with its multiplayer modes and its signature Zombies experience.
Since Microsoft officially acquired Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty coming to Game Pass was a foregone conclusion for many. After all, Call of Duty continues to be an incredibly popular franchise with a massive player base. As such, adding it to Game Pass should make the service a more attractive option for players.
While Modern Warfare III is getting added, it’s not clear if Xbox plans to add more Call of Duty titles to Game Pass. What is clear is that future Call of Duty titles will be added to the service upon launch, starting with the next Black Ops sub-series entry.
Modern Warfare III will be available on Game Pass beginning July 25 in the US (meaning it should be available in other countries including the Philippines on the 26th). The game will be available on both Xbox consoles and PC versions of Game Pass.
Aside from MW3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is also coming to Game Pass when it launches this October. Ahead of its release though, fans can play the game early beginning this August via its multiplayer beta.
