At Evo 2024, Cygames revealed the release date of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Version 1.50 along with the upcoming DLC character and balance updates.
Along with the upcoming version update, Evo 2024 was also an exciting event for fans of the game as it saw top players duke it out at the GBVSR tournament. There, AARONDAMAC took home the trophy, and by doing so, he has qualified for a spot at the Arc World Tour Finals 2024 which is happening in the US spring 2025.
As for Version 1.50, this Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising update is scheduled to go live on August 20, and will include an array of major balance adjustments. It will also feature new story episodes, a new stage, a new game mode, a new Battle Pass, and many more.
Perhaps the biggest addition in this new version is the new DLC character Versusia. She got a gameplay trailer at Evo 2024 which you can watch here:
That’s not all that fans can look forward to as Vikala is another confirmed character that’s coming in October 2024. Vikala will be the last DLC character from Character Pass 1.
Cygames then teased Character Pass 2 with some new footage that gives fans hints at what to expect.
While Evo 2024 has ended, the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising discount is still available on PlayStation and Steam. To be exact, the game’s PlayStation version has a 40% discount until July 31. Meanwhile, the PC version on Steam also has a 40% discount, though this one is until July 29 only.
