Capcom gave fans their first look at Terry Bogard in Street Fighter 6 via a new trailer shared at Evo 2024!
Guest characters have long been a popular thing in fighting games. For instance, there’s the unexpected Yoda and Darth Vader additions to Soulcalibur IV way back in 2008. Then there’s the wide array of guests in Tekken 7 like Final Fantasy’s Noctis and even The Walking Dead’s Negan.
What’s interesting is that Street Fighter is one of the few franchises to not have guest characters. This is changing though as Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard is coming to Street Fighter 6 as the series’ first guest character.
At Evo 2024, Capcom shared a teaser trailer for Terry which you can watch here:
Terry Bogard is arguably one of the most popular fighting game characters, and as such, it’s fitting that he becomes Street Fighter’s first guest character.
While SF6 has wildly different looks for its characters (especially compared to previous Street Fighter games), Terry will appear with his signature red cap, jacket, and long blonde hair. The trailer also show Terry Bogard use his signature special moves that Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters fans know and love.
Terry will be participating as a playable character in “Fighting Ground” and in new area in “World Tour.” There, players can meet him as a master and learn a selection of techniques much like with other additional characters.
Fans can get Terry Bogard in Street Fighter 6 as part of the Year 2 Character Pass / Ultimate Pass. He will be released in Fall 2024, though there’s no word yet on a specific release date.
