As the hype for the film continues to build up, Pinoy horror fans will be happy to know that Longlegs finally has a cinema release date in the Philippines.
The film’s PH premiere was revealed by Pioneer Films through its Viewers’ Choice Philippines Facebook page. There, it was confirmed that Longlegs has a Philippines cinema release date of July 10 – that’s two days earlier than its US release! This is great news for horror fans, especially considering how much hype the film has gotten over the past weeks.
In case you have only just heard about the film, Longlegs is a new horror movie by Osgood Perkins, the director of Gretel & Hansel and The Blackcoat’s Daughter.
It follows FBI agent Lee Harker (played by Maika Monroe) who is assigned a case involving the Satanic serial killer known only as Longlegs (played by Nicolas Cage).
Based on its premise, this movie is a fusion of a horror and a crime-thriller film. To give you a better idea of what to expect, check out the movie’s official trailer:
Currently, the film has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with some critics even calling it 2024’s scariest movie so far. Of course, there are only a few early reviews currently so the rating might change. But based on these early reactions, Longlegs should be a must-watch for horror fans when it comes out in the PH on July 10.
Aside from Longlegs, there will also be lots of big movies that will come out this month, including the highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine.
