My Deer Friend Nokotan is out now, and as a treat for fans, the Shikairo Days loop video is also available officially on social media platforms.

Even before the show premiered, Nokotan already took the anime world by storm thanks to its incredibly catchy and memorable opening “Shikairo Days.” Given how much fans have become into the opening, the “Shikairo Days” intro loop video was uploaded back in late May on X and YouTube where it has gotten millions of views.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, you can check out the 1-hour loop video  here:

Given its success, the sound source for the loop video has been released on various social media platforms, including TikTok. As such, users can use the sound source to create their own Nokotan videos!

That’s not the end for the show’s earworm of an opening though as the My Deer Friend Nokotan OP/ED Theme Song CD is set to be released in Japan on August 28. This CD will come with an original jacket illustration.

For those who want to listen to the song on streaming platforms, both the opening and ending theme “Shika Senbei no Uta” can be pre-added on various streaming platforms. They will be available beginning July 8.

As for the anime itself, My Deer Friend Nokotan is a show by Wit Studio (of Spy x Family and Suicide Squad Isekai fame), an it’s based on a comedy manga of the same name.

Its story is described as (via Seven Seas Entertainment):

“No one knows Torako used to be a delinquent. All of her classmates only know her as the perfect student. But everything changes when Nokotan, a transfer student with antlers, enters her life. Antlers aren’t the only thing strange about Nokotan. Her deer nose can sniff out Torako’s secret past! Whether it’s at school or the zoo, chaos follows this doe-eyed girl’s every step. Torako has so many questions! Is Nokotan a deer, a girl, or something in-between?”

Currently, the show’s first episode is out now, with new episodes being released every week.
