KADOKAWA Game Linkage recently announced that Ninja Slayer Neosaitama in Flames is now available on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
This is an indie game project between KADOKAWA Game Linkage and ABC Animation, and it is based on the popular Ninja Slayer novel/comic book series by Bradley Bond and Philip “Ninj@” Morzez.
While the original novel series may have a dedicated fanbase, it’s likely that others are familiar with Ninja Slayer thanks to the anime adaptation by Trigger, the studio behind hit shows like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Delicious in Dungeon.
As befits Ninja Slayer’s cyberpunk ninja action, this side-scrolling action game features eye-catching visuals and fast-paced combat.
For those unfamiliar with both the novel series and the anime, the game’s premise is described as:
“Kill sinister enemy ninjas with high-speed ninja actions！
The setting is the cyberpunk fictional city of “Neo Saitama”. Play as the main character, the titular Ninja Slayer, and take part in high-speed battles with numerous sinister enemy ninjas to avenge your wife and child.
The original “Ninja Slayer” is a blockbuster hit series of novels and comics that has sold a total of over 4.44 million copies. The world of the game is based on the novel’s world supported by vivid images from the comics and the game itself is a high-speed action game that allows players to move around the stages freely.”
