To cap-off the weekend, realme vice president and CMO Chase Xu treated everyone to a surprise unboxing of the upcoming realme 13 Pro series. The quick teaser was uploaded on his personal Facebook page today, and he walks us through the stylistic decisions made on the new smartphone while poring through the package.
We get a glimpse of the brand new realme 13 Pro series, which sport an interesting aesthetic. It’s co-designed in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and draws influence from the works of the famous artist, Oscar-Claude Monet. However, in case you’d forget, the colorways bear his namesake–aptly titled Monet Purple and Monet Gold. Haystacks and Water Lilies was the muse, and it shows in the design.
The smartphone’s backside sports a light and shadow effect akin to impressionist paintings. To achieve this aesthetic and texture, nearly 200 samples and color adjustments were conducted alongside dozens of layering processes. Moving on from the simple unboxing, Xu delves deeper by showing us the backside’s interior which is composed of four different layers, and a myriad of particles. There was much care for detail in the production process.
In terms of a release date, that’s up in the air. Still, it was nice to see what the realme 13 Pro series would look like. We now know that to expect. In terms of releases, realme has been on the grind with their monthly device launches, with the GT 6 and most recently, the realme C63. Now, it’s only a matter of time before we all get our hands on the upcoming artistic creation that the brand had to offer.
