It has been nearly a year since the 5 series, and now, Samsung finally unveiled the new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 foldables at the recent Unpacked event, with their prices in the Philippines also revealed. Along with the new Z devices, Samsung also showcased its new Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro.
For this latest lineup of foldables, the theme for Samsung is AI which is also the case with the S24 series. Of course, AI isn’t the only highlight of the new Fold and Flip are not only the thinnest Galaxy Z devices yet, but they also have enhanced designs and updated specs.
Galaxy Z Fold6
To start, we have the Galaxy Z Fold6, the latest in Samsung’s tablet-like Fold series. Perhaps the most eye-catching change for this new model is the fact that it now has a new cover screen ratio and a more angular look, making it look kind of like a longer S24 Ultra when used while folded. To be exact, the cover screen is a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 22.1:9 aspect ratio, complete with a 120Hz refresh rate.
When unfolded, the phone has a large 7.6-inch QXGA+ AMOLED folding screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2160 x 1856 resolution. Compared to the Z Fold5, it also has a more squared-off look which might just be one of the biggest updates yet for the series.
Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that’s paired with 12GB of RAM with up to 1TB of storage. Plus, it has a 4,400mAh battery with 25W wired charging.
For its cameras, the phone has a triple rear shooter setup with a 50MP main, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto. It also has a 10MP selfie shooter on the cover and a 4MP under-display camera on the main folding screen.
Finally, the Z Fold6 comes with a bevy of AI features, including Note Assist (which comes with translation, summaries, and auto formatting), integrated Google Gemini, and an Interpreter feature with a Live Translate function. Also, the AI features also extend to the cameras as the Z Fold6 has the AI-powered ProVisual Engine which comes with Photo Assist for editing and Portrait Studio for creative portraits.
Galaxy Z Flip6
Moving on to the Z Flip6, this new version of Samsung’s clamshell foldable comes with a similarly large cover screen. This time though, the 3.4-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow has a wealth of AI-assisted features such as Suggested Replies for messages and more access to widgets. Inside meanwhile is the phone’s 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The highlight of the Z Flip6 though is its AI camera features. For starters, the phone has the FlexCam which now packs new creative options, including Auto Zoom which automatically finds the best frame for your shot, depending on the subject.
Speaking of photography, the phone has a 50MP wide and 12MP ultra-wide dual rear camera setup, along with a 10MP selfie camera.
Similar to the Z Fold6, the Z Flip6 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with 12GB of RAM. It also has a 4,000mAh battery that supports up to 25W fast charging and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0.
Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro
Aside from the phones, Samsung also introduced the new Buds3 and Buds3 Pro. These new wireless earbuds have an updated design which Samsung calls the “premium blade design” which essentially make them look more like what you’d expect wireless buds to look.
These earbuds also come with Adaptive EQ and Adaptive ANC which are AI assisted much like the new phones. Plus, the Buds3 supports Voice Commands and can be used with the Interpreter Mode on the Z Fold6.

In the Philippines, the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Buds3 series are available for pre-order now, with general availability starting July 31.

For colorways, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is available in Silver Shadow, Pink and Navy, while the Galaxy Z Flip6 is also available in Silver Shadow, Yellow, Blue and Mint color options so you can choose a color that best suits your style. There are also online-exclusive colorways such as Crafted Black, White, and a Peach color option for Galaxy Z Flip6. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Buds3 series come in two colors, Silver and White.
