After her reveal back in April, Bandai Namco confirmed that Lidia will arrive in Tekken 8 Update 1.06 along with the long-awaited photo mode.
The game’s upcoming update was highlighted in a recent Tekken Talk livestream. There, Katsuhiro Harada was joined by Kohei Ikeda, Michael Murray, and Naoya Yasuda. There, they discussed what players can expect in Tekken 8’s next major update.
Of course, the highlight for many is the announcement of Lidia’s release. To be exact, Lidia will be available to play in early access on July 22 – the same date as Update 1.06’s launch. As for her general availability, Lidia will be playable for Playable Character Year 1 Pass holders starting July 25.

The other highlight of the upcoming update is the Tekken 8 photo mode which will be available on all platforms. As with most photo modes for many popular games, the one for Tekken 8 will have options to play around with the camera’s position, lighting, and filters.
To promote the new photo mode, the Tekken 30th Anniversary fandom campaign was announced, and it invites players to share their best in-game photos taken with the mode. Sharing these photos with the hashtag #TEKKEN30th won’t give out prizes though. Instead, photos that are selected will be featured in official events and streams.
Finally, Update 1.06 will feature a host of bug fixes for the game. Interestingly, there will be no balance changes for now.
