After last year’s event, vivo announced that its 3×3 Basketball Challenge is coming back this July, and it will feature three stops before the Grand Finals.
In case you didn’t know, vivo held a 3-on-3 basketball tournament last year. Basketball is something that may seem a bit unexpected, but it makes sense given how vivo has tapped NBA stars to be their face (like Steph Curry back in the day), not to mention that vivo has also brought notable NBA players to the Philippines over the years.
Given the success of last year’s event, vivo is bringing back its 3-on-3 tournament through the 3×3 Basketball Challenge which kicks off on July 21.
This tournament will feature 16 teams, including eight men’s teams and eight women’s teams. Of these, only the top two teams in each category will advance to the knockout phase, with the remaining teams facing off in the upcoming Grand Finals.
Instead of happening in just one weekend though, the event will travel around Metro Manila, complete with a stop in Cavite. To be exact, here is the schedule of the first three stops:
- July 21, 2024 – SM Fairview, Quezon City
- July 28, 2024 – SM Dasmariñas, Cavite
- August 11, 2024 – Ayala Malls Feliz, Pasig City
Finally, the Grand Finals will take place from August 16 to 17 at the SM MOA Music Hall in Pasay City. Aside from getting to watch basketball action, fans who attend in person will also get a chance to win prizes and freebies.
