After its announcement recently, the vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge 2024 kicked off on July 21 at SM City Fairview, featuring four teams from the two divisions.
In case you missed its announcement, the 3×3 Basketball Challenge is back this year, and it features sixteen teams in two divisions face off, with the winning teams taking home vivo smartphones and a cash prize of up to PHP 30,000.
The first four teams of the Women’s and Men’s divisions showed off their skill in the first leg at SM City Fairview last Saturday, and it drew a sizeable crowd of basketball fans and mall-goers alike.
How the tournament works is that the team with most wins in each pool (there are two pools in the Men’s and Women’s divisions, respectively) will advance to the next round. Then, the last two teams in each division will face off in the Grand Finals which is happening this August.
Aside from basketball action, the first stop of the tournament also featured performances by the NU (National University) Dance Company. Plus, those in attendance also go to participate in a raffle that gave away vivo tumblers, earbuds, and speakers.

- July 28, 2024, Sunday – SM Dasmariñas, Cavite
- August 11, 2024, Sunday – Ayala Malls Feliz, Pasig City
Finally, the Grand Finals is happening at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia Arena on August 16 and 17. More details about the Grand Finals will be shared on vivo’s official pages on Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok.
