Following its recent reveal at the Summer Game Fest, 2K announced that Civilization VII is getting its long-awaited gameplay showcase at Gamescom Opening Night Live later this month.
As it has been years since the launch of Civilization VI, the announcement of Civ VII back in June was a major highlight for many gamers, though its announcement only came with a teaser that didn’t reveal anything regarding gameplay.
Soon though, fans can see the first proper gameplay showcase for Civilization VII. To be exact, this gameplay reveal will take place during the Gamescom Opening Night Live show on August 20 at 11 AM PT / August 21 at 1 AM PH time.
The showcase will feature the game’s official gameplay trailer. This will be followed by a longer, 20-minute showcase that will be hosted on Firaxis Games’ official Twitch channel.
Aside from the trailer and showcase, fans attending Gamescom from August 21 to 25 will also get to see the game via its dedicated booth in Hall 6 of Koelnmesse. For those who won’t be able to attend Gamescom, Civilization VII will also get a developer panel at PAX West on August 31.
Civilization VII will be released sometime in 2025 for PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
