Ahead of the show’s premiere this October, Muse Asia announced that the Dandadan anime’s first three episodes are getting a special screening in the Philippines.
While Dandadan is an anime series and not a movie, it will get special screenings in the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam soon. This is reminiscent of the Demon Slayer World Tour, though instead of only one new episode being shown, these screenings will give fans a chance to properly watch the first three episodes early.
In the Philippines, the screening will take place at SM North Edsa, Cinema 5 on September 8 at 3 PM. For now though, there’s no word yet on when tickets will be available.
Here are the complete screening details for the three countries:
- Philippines
- Date: 8 September, 2024
- Time: 3:00 PM
- Location: Manila, SM North Edsa, Cinema 5
- Thailand
- Date: 31 August & 1 September, 2024
- Location: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Korat, and Hatyai
- Vietnam
- Date: 7 September, 2024

In case you’re unfamiliar, Dandadan is an upcoming anime by Science SARU, the studio behind anime like Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, The Heike Story, and Devilman Crybaby. The show is based on the popular Dandadan manga by Yukinobu Tatsu.
The manga’s premise is described as:
“Momo Ayase strikes up an unusual friendship with her school’s UFO fanatic, whom she nicknames “Okarun” because he has a name that is not to be said aloud. While Momo believes in spirits, she thinks aliens are nothing but nonsense. Her new friend, meanwhile, thinks the exact opposite. To settle matters, the two set out to prove each other wrong—Momo to a UFO hotspot and Okarun to a haunted tunnel! What unfolds next is a beautiful story of young love…and oddly horny aliens and spirits?”
For those who won’t be able to watch the Dandadan anime’s first three episodes on the big screen, the show will premiere in October 2024 on Netflix and other platforms.
