After its release in Japan last April, the anime film Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram is confirmed to be getting a cinema release in the Philippines.
The film’s upcoming PH release was revealed by distributor ODEX Philippines via its official Facebook page. There, it was confirmed that the movie will get a cinema release, though there’s no word yet on a release date.
While there’s no release info yet, it’s likely that the theatrical run will begin fairly soon given that it is being promoted already. Before the wider release though, it’s likely that Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram will first get a fan screening in the Philippines, as is the case with most anime films distributed by ODEX Philippines. We’ll have to wait for more details on that though.
As for the film itself, The Million-dollar Pentagram is the 27th movie in the ever-popular Detective Conan franchise. It was released in Japanese theaters on April 12, and it became a big hit as it’s the top-grossing movie of 2024 in Japan so far.
This is far from the first time that a Detective Conan movie was released in the Philippines. After all, Detective Conan films have routinely gotten PH cinema releases over the years.
Aside from The Million-dollar Pentagram, anime fans can also look forward to more anime screenings in the PH soon, including Look Back and even the first three episodes of Dandadan.
