Dyson recently unveiled its first connected beauty device, the Airwrap i.d. multi-styler and dryer, bringing smart tech to hair styling. This Bluetooth-enabled device allows users to personalize their hair profile and automate curling at the simple push of a button.
The new Airwrap i.d. introduces three additional attachments, bringing the total to 19. This variety of attachments includes a Conical barrel for tighter curls, a Wave+Curl diffuser for enhancing natural curl patterns, and a Blade concentrator for smoother styling.
A key feature is the i.d. curl function, which creates a personalized curling sequence based on hair type, length, and user skill level. The MyDyson app guides users through a three-step process of wrapping, styling, and setting curls, with heat and airflow automatically adjusted to user preferences.
Low Chen Nyeow, Associate Design Manager at Dyson Beauty stated, “User feedback has shown that they appreciate convenience so for us, connectivity is about developing ways to help them get the very best out of Dyson machines. And i.d. curl delivers the ease of use and a truly personalised journey and experience. The app guides users through each step, based on the user’s profile to make curling easier. Adjustable temperature settings change the high and low heat temperatures for thermal comfort, based on their personal preference and maintenance notifications reminders guide them to clean their filter. New attachments also reiterate how the styling tool is truly for all hair types and with no heat damage.”
“Achieving perfect curls just got even easier – the Dyson Airwrap i.d. takes the guesswork out of getting ready, with just the push of a button.” said Matthew Collins, Dyson Global Styling Ambassador.
The Airwrap i.d. uses Dyson’s Intelligent Heat Control to maintain temperatures below 150°C, protecting hair from heat damage. It’s powered by the Dyson digital motor V9, allowing for air-powered styling without extreme heat.
The Dyson Airwrap i.d. is not presently available in the Philippines. Consumers who are interested to be among the first to learn about any upcoming Dyson technology may sign up to be notified here.
