In what is no doubt sad news for many Hololive fans, Cover Corporation announced that VTuber Minato Aqua will hold her graduation stream later this month.
Aqua’s graduation was confirmed by Cover Corp recently with the release of an official statement shared on the company’s official website. There, Cover Corp apologized to fans for the sudden announcement, and they mentioned that they are grateful for Aqua’s contribution to Hololive over the years, especially as she has been pivotal to Hololive’s growth as part of the second generation.
The statement also revealed that the graduation stream will go live on August 28, and it will feature:
- Minato Aqua’s graduation live concert
- Minato Aqua’s merchandise sales
- Special program on the hololive official channel
- Special feature on talent channels

Minato Aqua also addressed her graduation in a livestream today. While it was a short one, she mentioned during the stream that her graduation is due to differences in opinion with the management, though Aqua asked viewers to refrain from speculation or sharing false information.
Aqua is not the only long-time Hololive VTuber to graduate this year. After all, Yozora Mel of Hololive’s first generation graduated in January, though her graduation was more sudden as she did not have a proper graduation livestream.
