It has been over a year since the second season premiered, and soon, fans can look forward to the Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc compilation film.
This new compilation movie was announced at the Juju Fest 2024 event. Soon after, the film’s key visual was shared on the Jujutsu Kaisen anime website.
Aside from the announcement and the new visual, the only detail confirmed is that this film will be released in Japanese cinemas sometime in 2025. For now, there’s no word yet on international release plans.
This compilation film makes sense given that the anime’s third season, while confirmed, is still going to take a while. After all, the first two Jujutsu Kaisen seasons had a gap of over a year.
The fact that the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc is five episodes long makes it the perfect length for a compilation film. Of course, fans who have already seen the second season should already know what to expect, but it should still be a treat for fans who want to see Gojo and Geto on the big screen.
As for bonus scenes, there’s no word on if there will be new original scenes in this movie. Typically, compilation film releases of anime don’t have new scenes, but it remains to be seen if that will also be the case here.
It’s not clear if this movie will get a Philippine release, though it won’t be too surprising if it did. After all, not only did Jujutsu Kaisen 0 get released in PH cinemas, but lots of anime are also getting theatrical runs, including upcoming shows like Dandadan.
