Just weeks ahead of its release, Atlus revealed that Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass Wave 3 will add Persona 5’s Joker as an optional boss fight.
This was revealed in a new trailer for Episode Aigis shown during Gamescom 2024’s Opening Night Live showcase. It was a short trailer, though it did confirm that Joker will appear in Episode Aigis where he will be known as the mysterious masked boy.

From the looks of it, Joker will be an optional boss. While Atlus hasn’t revealed much about Joker’s appearance, they did confirm that players can face him after fulfilling certain conditions. Atlus also said that one wrong move might cause players to fail. As such, Joker is expected to provide a major challenge to players who want to test their skills
Joker appearing in Persona 3 Reload is a bit of a surprise, but it’s not entirely out of the left field given how many games in the franchise have crossovers with each other. For instance, the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax features P4 and P3 characters. There’s also the Persona Q games which also feature crossovers of P3, P4, and P5.
Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass Wave 3 will be released on September 10, 2024, and it will be available on all platforms. To get access to The Answer, players will need to buy the whole Expansion Pass. Buying the pass now will give players the content released in the DLC’s first two waves.
