Schneider Electric launches the APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming in the Philippines

The APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming promises to protect your gaming PC or console from power outages.

Schneider Electric recently launched the new APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming in the Philippines, the brand’s first gaming-focused uninterruptible power supply (UPS) device.

A UPS is an invaluable device for any gamer, especially those living in places with an unstable power connection. Even those with more reliable connections can still benefit from a UPS, especially given how outages can happen during the typhoon season in the Philippines.

While Schneider Electric has an array of UPS devices, this latest one is designed for gamers. It features a sleek design with 12 customizable RGB lights.  that can complement your rig, along with useful updates. Specifically, it has a circular light at the top to update users regarding its power status.

This new UPS has a 1320W output capacity, four surge + battery backup outlets, two surge-only outlets, and three front USB ports. With these, gamers can keep their essential devices safe from power surges and outages.

Along with the aforementioned specs, this APC Gaming UPS also combines surge protection and Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) in its Sinewave Power feature. As such, this device can provide stable power for gaming rigs to help them last for longer. According to Schneider Electric, gaming rigs powered by sine waves should run cooler on backup power so that overheating is minimized.

As for how long the UPS’ battery can power your gaming devices, here’s a rundown of the times that consoles and a gaming PC can last when there’s no power:

  • Nintendo Switch: 35 mins
  • PlayStation 5: 11 mins
  • Gaming Desktop: 10 mins
  • Xbox Series X: 15 mins
  • Gaming Laptop: 20 mins

Thanks to this, gamers should have enough time to save their game and power their device off properly so that game files won’t potentially get corrupted.

On top of the APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming, Schneider Electric also has the APC Back-UPS Connect. This is essentially a small UPS designed for Wi-Fi routers, though it’s also usable with IP cameras and smart hom edevices.

The APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming is priced at PHP 25,500 while the APC Back-UPS Connect retails for PHP 2,790. Both devices are available now at Schneider Electric’s online flagship stores in Shopee and Lazada and selected authorized retail stores.
