SM North EDSA kicked off its Animezing North: One Piece 25th event on August 20, and it’s no doubt a must-see for any and every One Piece fan in the city.
This event was mounted in partnership with Toei Animation, Funko, and SM. It’s also the latest anime event at The Block which has showcased an array of popular shows this year such as Haikyuu.
Now though, the latest anime event at The Block is for One Piece, the beloved shonen series that’s celebrating its 25th anniversary. Perhaps the highlight of the event is the massive Luffy Gear 5 balloon placed at the venue for fans to take pictures of.

Aside from the impressive Luffy balloon, The Block is also decked out with a bunch of One Piece design elements, including the Straw Hat Crew’s Jolly Roger along with the crew’s bounty posters. You can see them all over the mall’s third floor.
Of course, Luffy isn’t the only one there as the entire Straw Hat Crew is also in the venue in various photo spots. It’s not just the Straw Hats though as other popular One Piece characters are there, including members of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet introduced in the Dressrosa Saga.
Aside from photo spots, the event also features an array of merch, including collabs with Uniqlo and Havaianas, along with other collectibles like Funko Pops and plushies.
Finally, the event’s first day saw lots of guest cosplayers as One Piece characters, including Prince de Guzman, Awie, Een, and more.
As such, fans who are visiting are encouraged to go in their best One Piece-inspired outfit to take photos with the various installations.
