Speak No Evil is coming to cinemas in the Philippines this September

Mark your calendars, horror fans!

Universal Pictures announced that the new horror movie Speak No Evil will be released in the Philippines on September 11.

This upcoming horror film stars James McAvoy, and it promises to delight genre fans with its unnerving mood and mystery. And to give viewers a better idea of what to expect, the movie’s new trailer can be seen here:

Technically, this not an all-new movie as it’s a remake of a psychological horror film of the same name released in 2022. The original movie was praised for both its atmosphere and its social commentary.

The remake’s premise is described as:

“Speak No Evil follows an American family who befriends a British family, and subsequently gets invited to a vacation on their idyllic British farmhouse. Not all is what it seems though, and soon enough the family’s dream getaway turns into a nightmare.

The film explores these themes through the Dalton family, Americans living in England, consisting of parents Ben and Louise, and their pre-teen daughter Agnes. Ben and Louise are struggling with their sense of distance from each other, while having crises of identity.”

Speak No Evil will be released in cinemas in the Philippines on September 11, and it will be distributed by Universal Pictures International.
