Crunchyroll and Spotify recently teamed up to give anime fans a dedicated shelf on Spotify’s global Anime Hub.

This collab shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise given just how popular anime and anime music have become in recent years. To be exact, Spotify shared that global streams of Anime music have increased by a whopping 395% since 2021. In the Philippines meanwhile, anime music streams almost tripled, complete with over 339,838 anime music playlists on Spotify created.

As such Spotify teamed up with the anime streaming platform with specially curated playlists and a dedicated shelf on Spotify’s global Anime Hub.

One of the highlights of the collaboration is the array of Crunchyroll playlists. For starters, there’s the Crunchyroll Anime Essentials playlist which features the latest anime opening and ending themes. There are also other themed-playlist such as “The Broody Black-Haired MC” for edgier tracks, as well as “The Bubbly Pink-Haired BFF” for anime songs with a cheerful vibe.

Meanwhile, Spotify’s existing Anime playlists have also gotten new, more anime-inspired covers. Check them out here:
