Over a year after its initial release, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is officially coming to the PS4 and Xbox One this September.
The game’s last-gen release got a release date on the EA Star Wars official X (formerly Twitter) account. There, it was confirmed that the Jedi: Survivor will finally come to previous generation consoles on September 17, 2024.
This release is a bit surprising considering that the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are nearly four years old at this point. Still, given the supply issues that plagued the PS5 from 2020 to 2021, Jedi: Survivor getting a release on last-gen consoles is welcome news for players who have yet to upgrade to a new console.
Of course, given the hardware limitations, players shouldn’t expect the game to play similarly to the PS5 and Series X|S version.
Aside from the PS4 and Xbox One versions, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will also get a PC patch soon that promises to deliver a bunch of performance and quality-of-life improvements. Hopefully this fixes the issues on PC that have not been resolved for some players.
Last year, we reviewed Jedi: Survivor and called it a “cinematic, emotional, high-octane, and brilliant expansion of existing franchise lore.” For us, this made it one of the best Star Wars games in recent years.
