Studio Trigger shares Transformers 40th anniversary project teaser

The studio behind Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Delicious in Dungeon is now working on a Transformers project!

While the studio is already busy with Delicious in Dungeon Season 2, Trigger just revealed a teaser for its Transformers 40th Anniversary video project.

The teaser for the special project features glimpses of classic Transformers, though it doesn’t reveal much regarding what fans can expect. In fact, it’s not even clear if this project is anime series or a film as it may just be a short video to celebrate the franchise’s major milestone.

Given that this trailer is called a PV teaser, chances are that the full project is just a short video from Trigger. Of course, given Trigger’s popularity, some fans are hoping that this is a longer series. After all, it would be interesting to see how the iconic studio will give their own spin on Transformers.

If it’s just a short video though, that won’t be the first time for Trigger as the studio has been tapped before to animate a short commercial for the Delicious in Dungeon manga. This turned out to be a preview in a way as the studio eventually worked on an anime adaptation of the fantasy manga.

Along with this new project and the second Dungeon Meshi season, Trigger is also working on New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt which is set to be released sometime in 2025.
