Wit Studio and Netflix share first look at The One Piece Anime remake

The One Piece anime remake is looking promising!

After its announcement back in December, Wit Studio and Netflix shared a first look at The One Piece Anime remake through the first volume of the “Production Notes” video series.

The first video was released alongside The One Piece Day ’24 celebration which happened over the weekend from August 10-11. As its title implies, the video is just the first in a multi-volume series, and this first part focuses on the show’s staff.

You can check it out here:

As the anime is still early in its production phase, no actual footage from the anime was released. The video did give us more details about what to expect as the series’ staff had a lot to say about their approach for this remake.

Best of all, we got a look at the upcoming anime via concept art that was interspersed throughout the video. While this won’t exactly be what the remake will look like, it should still give fans a nice taste of what to expect. Check them out here:

Also confirmed via the anime’s official X  account (via Anime News Network) is the list of main staff members. The staff includes:

  • Masashi Koizuka (Attack on Titan) – Director
  • Hideaki Abe (Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet film) – Assistant Director
