HoYoverse recently announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1 will be released on August 14, featuring new story content, characters, and a new gameplay experience.
Version 1.1 is the game’s first major update, and it will feature new story content featuring the Mountain Lion Gang, a threat that the New Eridu Public Security (N.E.P.S.) will need to face. Perhaps the biggest addition though for many players is the three new characters: Qingyi, Jane, and Seth.

The first of the new characters is Qingyi, a member of N.E.P.S. She is an S-Rank Electric Stun character who can inflict Daze to stun enemies. Aside from causing electric damage with her attacks, Qingyi can also build up “Flash Connect Voltage” which triggers a powerful attack when it reaches a certain level.
Next is Jane, an S-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent who will play a key role in the Version 1.1 storyline. Jane can trigger “Passion State” by building up Passion Stream. This unleashes rapid attacks while inflicting Attribute Anomaly on enemies. Before Jane joins players’ squads though, Jane will be an enemy as she’s a key member of the Mountain Lion Gang.
Rounding out the new characters is Seth, and A-Rank Electric Defense character. Seth can buff allies with his shield which can also transform into a large sword to fight enemies with.
The new update will introduce the new gameplay “Inferno Reap” to Hollow Zero. Here, Proxies can enter a time-limited battle with Nineveh. Successful challenges can give players a variety of in-game rewards.
Finally, Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1 will have a themed event called the “Camellia Golden Week.” Here, players can get Polychromes, A-level W-engine, and various materials by completing event commissions.
