In what is no doubt exciting news for Pinoy Pokemon fans, 7-Eleven Philippines unveiled its partnership with Pokemon for several themed stores and goods.
This exciting collaboration was officially unveiled by 7-Eleven, The Pokemon Company, and Niantic today, September 13, with a launch event in Quezon City. Following the launch was the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the country’s first-ever Pokemon-themed 7-Eleven store located at Eton Centris in Quezon City. Yes, this store is also a PokeStop for Pokemon GO.
Here’s a look at the store along with the various Pokemon-inspired design elements inside:
Given the eye-catching designs, this store is a must-visit for Pinoy Pokemon fans in Quezon City. For those living far from Quezon City, the good news is that there is another 7-Eleven store at Arnaiz Avenue in Makati that will get the Pokemon treatment.
Meanwhile, 7-Eleven also confirmed that it will bring the Pokemon theme to its St. Theresa Casa Rosario store in Cebu for fans in the Metro Cebu area.
During the launch, it was revealed that this is a year-long partnership, meaning you can expect these stores to have the Pokemon theme until September 2024. Fingers crossed that it becomes successful enough to be extended.
Aside from the store theme, fans are also treated to special Pokemon packaging for snacks. Best of all is that the Pokemon packaging will be available in 7-Eleven stores nationwide. Currently, Luzon stores already have these while it will be rolled out across the country in October.
To be exact, these special packaging features Pokemon, Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur for Crunch Time; Pikachu and Snorlax for 7-Fresh Siopao; Meowth for Big Bite; Jigglypuff for Fundae; Gyarados for GULP; Eevee, Flareon, and Jolteon for the small, medium, and large cups of City Cafe; and Umbreon for Prima.
What’s more, 7-Eleven stores in the country will also be turned into PokeStops, meaning Pokemon Go players don’t need to journey to the special themed stores to enjoy this part of the collab.
Finally, the collab also comes with a treat for trading card players and collectors. That’s because Pokemon Trading Card Booster Packs will be available in 1,500 7-Eleven Philippines stores. For every purchase of these packs (worth PHP 259 each), buyers will also receive a limited edition Pokemon x 7-Eleven Promo Card.
