It looks like PlayStation has a new hit on its hands as Astro Bot is now topping Amazon charts just days after its launch.
To be exact, the game was sold out on Amazon Japan shortly after its launch, indicating strong interest from the JP audience for the game. Aside from Japan, the game has also topped the Amazon UK bestselling video game chart (as of this article’s writing).
Note that these sales are for physical copies of the game in select countries, meaning they don’t give us the full picture of how well the game is doing sales-wise. After all, digital sales are very much a big chunk of any game’s overall sales numbers.

Still, the fact that it’s topping Amazon charts means there’s plenty of interest in Astro Bot. This, coupled with the fact that the game has gotten rave reviews from critics and fans means Team Asobi has definitely delivered on its full-length Astro’s Playroom sequel.
This is also a big win for PlayStation, and one that’s sorely needed given that the hero-shooter Concord was very much a massive flop, enough that sales were stopped and the servers were quickly shut down.
Astro Bot is available now exclusively on the PS5.
