After its release date was confirmed, Crunchyroll has now revealed that Dragon Ball Daima will be streamed in the Philippines on its platform beginning this October.
In case you missed it, Dragon Ball Daima is the latest anime in the beloved Dragon Ball franchise, and it was originally revealed by Toei Animation back in October 2023.
Now, it’s confirmed that the new Dragon Ball show will premiere on Crunchyroll in various countries worldwide. Crunchyroll confirmed that the show will begin streaming on October 11, with each new episode getting release weekly at the same time as its Japanese TV broadcast.
Note that this is not a sequel to the Dragon Ball Super anime which ended back in 2018. Instead, it’s a brand-new show that sees Goku and friends transforming into kid-like forms.
Its premise is described as:
“Dragon Ball DAIMA: Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. What sort of adventure awaits Goku, Supreme Kai, and the new characters Glorio and Panzy in this unknown world, the Demon Realm?”
While it’s not based on a Dragon Ball manga, the show was developed in cooperation with series creator Akira Toriyama (at least, prior to his passing.
Meanwhile, the show’s staff features notable names, including directors Yoshitaka Yashima (key animator, Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge) and Aya Komaki (series director, One Piece), along with series composer and scenario writer Yuko Kakihara, and animation character designer Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru.
Dragon Ball Daima will be streamed in the Philippines on Crunchyroll beginning October 11, 2024. For now, it’s not confirmed how many episodes the series will have.
