Following its reveal back in 2022, EA has finally revealed that skate. (aka Skate 4) will launch in Early Access sometime in 2025.
To be exact, EA and Full Circle announced today that the game’s Early Access launch will happen in 2025, though before that, the game will get another round of playtesting in Fall 2024, this time for consoles.
While many fans are eagerly anticipating the game’s launch, there are already thousands of players who got to try the game out via playtests on PC. Aside from these closed tests, the development team has also been sharing regular updates via the game’s official YouTube channel.
Skate is EA’s popular skateboarding game that’s unique for its “Flick-it” control system where players can execute tricks by flicking the analog sticks. This series began back in 2007 with the first Skate game, and it was subsequently followed by two more mainline entries, with Skate 3 being released back in 2010.
Since then, Skate has gone on a lengthy hiatus, but in 2022, EA announced that a new game simply titled ‘skate.’ was in development. At the time though, there was no word on a potential launch window for the game.
It may have taken a long time, but the new Skate game getting an Early Access launch next year is good news as it means players won’t have to wait much longer. Fingers crosse that Early Access goes live earlier in 2025 instead of later.
