EastWest Bank recently launched the new EasyWay mobile banking app on Android and iOS. While the app has been available for some time now, EastWest held the official launch event as part of the build-up to its 30th anniversary celebration.
While EastWest already had a mobile app launched years ago, EasyWay is an all-new app that promises to give users a smoother experience when it comes to accessing banking services along with other digital solutions.
The app’s launch happened last Wednesday, August 28. There, EastWest Bank executives also introduced Filipino actor Donny Pangilinan as the first EasyWay ambassador.
“EasyWay is more than just a banking app; it’s a clear demonstration of our efforts to make banking simpler and more accessible for our customers,” said EastWest Bank CEO Jerry Ngo. “As we mark our 30th anniversary, we are thrilled to present this intuitive tool that will redefine how our customers engage with us.”
With the app’s official launch, a selection of transactions is no longer available on the old app. It’s also worth noting that users of the previous app will need to register for a new one for EasyWay.
On the flip side, users of EasyWay will be able to access these key features:
- Seamless Account Management: Access and manage accounts anytime, anywhere. These include balance monitoring, transaction history, and fund transfers.
- Efficient Bill Payments: Users can also pay various bills, but this time in a more seamless experience.
- Secure Transactions: EasyWay features advanced security measures to ensure transactions are secure.
- Loan and Credit Card Management: Users can manage credit cards and track repayments easily.
- Customer Support: The app offers 24/7 customer support to assist users.

In the future, EastWest will rollout more features, including:
- Wealth Management Tools: Including Portfolio Management services, seamless eForex capabilities for USD to PHP and PHP to USD transfers within a client’s own accounts, and an intuitive interface for viewing investments.
- Mobile Check Deposit: Users can take a clear photo of the front and back of the check, enter the check amount, confirm the details, and submit to make a Check deposit.
- Credit Card Management: Will give users the ability Lock or Unlock their EastWest credit cards for enhanced security.
- Credit Card and Personal Loan Application: Existing and new customers can apply for a credit card and personal loan directly through the app.
- QR Fund Transfers and Payments: Transfer funds or make payments by scanning a QR code.
