10:10 Games and Funko, Inc. have finally launched Funko Fusion, the new crossover game inspired by the ever-popular Funko Pop! figure line, and it is available now on consoles and PC.
For those who missed its reveal, Funko Fusion is an action-adventure game, and its premise is described as:
“Inspired by Funko Pop!, the crossover action-adventure game developed and published by 10:10 Games invites players to enter the Wonder Works Factory, choose their favorite world as their starting point, and embark on a journey they define at every step. Battle enemies, solve puzzles, and experience worlds inspired by iconic movies, TV series, comics, and video games on the way to defeating the villainous Eddy Funko and his dreams of total domination.”
As it’s billed as a crossover game, Funko Fusion won’t disappoint fans of various geeky IPs as it features characters from popular franchises. These include Jurassic World, JAWS, Back to the Future, The Thing, Hot Fuzz, Chucky, Battlestar Galactica, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Umbrella Academy, Masters of the Universe, Invincible, Mega Man, and more.
Of course, all these characters in the game appear as their Funko Pop versions, meaning they have the figure series’ distinct rectangular heads and tiny bodies. As such, if you’re still an avid Funko Pop collector, this game is made for you.
If you’re on the fence though, there’s a free demo of the gam on PC via Steam that’s available now. Here, players can try out the game’s first level which features a theme based on the 1982 horror classic The Thing, along with characters such as Mega Man, Freddy Fazbear, and He-Man.
To go along with the game’s launch, Funko released a special line of Funko Fusion Funko Pop! figures based on select in-game characters, and it’s available only this month via the brand’s official website website. There will also be a second wave of these figures later this year.
Funko Fusion is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Meanwhile, the game’s PS4 version will launch on November 15, and on the Switch this December.
