Following the release of Version 2.4 back in July, HoYoverse is now gearing up for the launch of Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.5 this month. To be exact, this new update will be released on September 10.
As with the other major Honkai: Star Rail Version updates, this latest one features new characters players can pull for, though it will also introduce the Wardance ceremony along with new foes.

Following a recent prison break in The Shackling Prison, the Cloud Knights have swiftly arrived to initiate rescue efforts. General Feixiao will personally lead her troops to capture the escaped Borisin criminals and secure the surface of the Luofu. Meanwhile, General Jing Yuan will investigate the incident, while General Huaiyan will oversee the Luofu’s Six Commissions. As long-buried secrets within the Shackling Prison are revealed, this trailblazing silkpunk saga will race toward its climax.
Meanwhile, the Luminary Wardance is set to ignite in Version 2.5, attracting numerous participants, including familiar faces like Luka, who is visiting Xianzhou Luofu for the first time. Trailblazers who engage in activities related to the Luminary Wardance can earn the charming pet “Tuskpir” as a companion. Alongside the Wardance ceremony, the Xianzhou will host other exciting events, inviting Trailblazers to dive in and explore!
For the new characters, first up is Feixiao, the Merlin’s Claw of Xianzhou Yaoqing and one of the Seven Arbiter-Generals. Feixiao is a 5-star character who accumulates “Flying Aureus” every few attacks along with her teammates’ strikes. With her ultimate, Feixiao consumers all her “Flying Aureus” charges to unleash powerful attacks on the enemy. These attacks reduce the enemy’s Toughness, all while bypassing their Weakness Type.
Next is Lingsha, another five-star character. Her key ability is to summon Fuyuan, an incense beast. Fuyuan assists here in combat, though it will dissipate after a couple of actions. Lingsha can use her Skill to extend Fuyuan’s actions. With her ultimate, Lingsha deals damage to all enemies while healing allies and dispelling buffs. It also inflicts the Befog state which increases Break damage on enemies.
Rounding out the new character lineup is Moze, the 4-star Shadow Guard of the Yaoqin. In battle, he marks one enemy as the Prey and then enters the Departed state while the marked enemy is on the field. After an ally attacks the Prey, Moze deals additional damage. As for his ultimate, Moze deals DMG to all enemies and launches a follow-up attack.
On top of the new characters, there will also be a special Warp Event that will kick off in the first half of Version 2.5, and it will feature the return of Robin, Black Swan, and Kafka. Meanwhile, the second half of Version 2.5 will see Topaz get a rerun.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.5 will be released on all platforms on September 10, 2024.
