During a recent Media Thanksgiving getaway, HONOR Philippines revealed the latest updates being rolled to majority of HONOR Phones within the next couple of months. AI is taking center-stage once more and this time the magical AI Eraser is going to be one of the first updates to be pushed over the air (OTA) by around September.
Obviously the HONOR 200 Series will be the first phones to get the update, seeing as this is the brand’s AI Phone hero product of the season, but we’re to expect to see some AI features even as far back as some X-series phones (we’re guessing X9b).
According to the brand, we can expect 4 AI-powered updates for the HONOR 200 that should enhance the photography feature further.
AI Eraser Tool
Remove unwanted objects, photobombers, and obstructions with the AI Eraser Tool. Simply highlight the unwanted part and let the power of generative AI fill in and correct the photo. We saw live samples of this during the event and we’re pretty impressed with how clean the corrected images look. You will need to be connected to the internet for this to work.
Bokeh Adjustment Tool
Another new feature to look out for is the Bokeh Adjustment Tool which allows users to adjust the aperture and focus on the subject. This also allows you to adjust the background blur to your taste easily.
Group Photo Enhance Tool
Another addition is the Group Photo Enhance Tool, capable of editing up to 50 people in a single frame, ensuring everyone looks their best by correcting facial distortions or mistimed blinks.
Face to Face Translation
lastly, the feature that we’re surely going to be using a lot in our travels, the HONOR Face to Face Translation. According to the brand, the HONOR AI can listen and translate live audio to different languages. Currently it has about 4 languages that it can translate including Chinese to English.
