itel launches the budget-friendly A80 in the Philippines

itel's latest phone packs a 50MP main camera while being priced under PHP 5K!

Earlier this year, itel released the budget-friendly P55 and RS4, and now, itel has launched the A80 in the Philippines which promises to be another compelling option for budget-minded buyers.

For its latest phone, itel focused on the cameras. Despite having an affordable price tag of under PHP 5K, this phone manages to feature a 50MP main camera. For reference, previous A-series models from itel only have 13MP shooters. Of course, megapixels aren’t everything, though itel does promise that the A80 is a big upgrade when it comes to image quality for both daytime and low-light photography.

At the front, the A80 now has a punch-hole notch in its 6.7-inch display, making it look more modern compared to the waterdrop notch found in previous generation models. Aside from the notch, the display itself should also be better as it has a max 500 nits brightness and a 120Hz touch sampling rate for enhanced responsiveness.

Other highlight features include its 128GB of storage along with 4GB RAM that’s complemented by 4GB of extended RAM. Plus, the A80 should be a looker IRL as it features three eye-catching colorways: Sandstone Black, Wave Blue, and Glacier White (which comes with a glass-feel texture with a glacier pattern).

The itel A80 is priced in the Philippines at only PHP 4,199, and it is available via itel’s official store on Shopee.
