In a surprising tech industry development, the first-ever PH-assembled high-performance laptop, the NAGA Sipag, just got unveiled. Being quite the interesting first in the cavalcade of local devices, it’s been making rounds on social media–and has likely popped up on your timeline once or twice.
While we have just a tidbit of info on this new gadget, NagaTech made sure to have the full specs on full display. The NAGA Sipag looks to be geared towards those who demand power, portability, and durability–but aim for a more affordable device. Equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and 16GB of DDR5 RAM, this machine will likely handle intense workloads with ease. Sporting a 14-inch display with a 2880×1800 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 100% sRGB coverage, there’s quite a bit of reasonable viewing real estate as well.
Aside from these, we also get a 100W Power Delivery (PD) charger and a 1080p webcam for video calls. Just how fast it can charge, and how clear the video output will be remains to be seen. Still, it’s definitely worth looking out for.
The NAGA Sipag will be gunning for the more affordable price range of laptops, making it quite the contender upon its maiden voyage. Being the first laptop to be assembled in the Philippines, it’s definitely a device that’ll pique everyone’s interest as the initial reaction would be to see it go head-to-head against bigger brands. Nonetheless, we’re quite excited about this–and can’t wait to see where they’ll go from here.
