Ahead of the show’s premiere, Rurouni Kenshin -Kyoto Disturbance- is getting a special fan screening in the Philippines on September 28.
Last year, the Rurouni Kenshin anime got a remake, with its first season consisting of 24 episodes. Soon, the anime got renewed for a second season, and its official title is -Kyoto Disturbance-.
While the second season will premiere on Japanese TV and streaming platforms this October, ODEX Philippines revealed that the show will get a special fan screening in the Philippines at SM Megamall. The screening will happen on September 28 only, and it will likely feature the first couple of episodes of Season 2.
As with most fan screenings, tickets will be priced more premium than average. Each ticket has a PHP 550 price tag, and each purchase comes with the following
- 1 x Postcard
- 1 x Japan Import Tattoo Sticker
This isn’t too surprising as the remake’ first season also got a special screening last year, though that previous screening was a bit more special. After all, it featured appearances from special guests Makoto Koichi (Yahiko Myojin) and Taku Yashiro (Sanosuke Sagara).
Even though there aren’t any special guests in the season 2 screening, it should still be a must-watch for fans. That’s because the second season will feature the exciting arc where the iconic villain Shishio Makoto will play a big role.
For those who won’t be able to watch the special screening, Rurouni Kenshin -Kyoto Disturbance- will premiere on streaming platforms on October 3, 2024. It is also expected to have 24 episodes, much like the first season.
