With the game’s release just a bit over a month away, SEGA highlighted the Sonic X Shadow Generations Chaos Island stage and its music.
Firstly, SEGA shared a new video previewing the theme of the Chaos Island stage named Chaos Island: Act 1 (R.B.U. REMIX). Along with the official YouTube upload, the preview is also available on select streaming platforms.
Aside from the Sonic X Shadow music, SEGA also revealed screenshots and details of Chaos Island, the stage that first appeared in Sonic Frontiers. Here, Shadow will need to use his Doom Morph ability to traverse steep cliffs, polluted landscapes, and beds of lava. As such, this should be a great level to experience Shadow’s abilities (on top of the darker vibe fitting Shadow’s style).
Also revealed was the Metal Overlord, an opponent that first debuted in Sonic Heroes. As Shadow, players will need to use the Doom Surf ability to catch them, and then launch debris floating on the water to take it down.
Sonic X Shadow Generations will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S. Xbox One, Switch, and PC on October 25, 2024.
Ahead of its release, Tokyo Game Show 2024 visitors will be able to try out the game later this month.
