After some teasers, the vivo V40 has finally been launched in the Philippines, and it’s an interesting new premium mid-ranger from the brand.
The highlight feature of this new phone is its camera setup. While the V30 Pro was the first V Series phone to get ZEISS cameras, the vivo V40 is the first base model in the lineup to get one. As such, this is the most affordable device to pack vivo’s ZEISS camera features.
To be exact, this phone feature the ZEISS Natural Color option for photos, along with a range of ZEISS lens filters as with the V30 Pro and the flagship X series. On top of these features, the phone features the V Series’ signature Aura Portrait Light system, making it a capable portrait photography partner.
The cameras setup is also impressive on paper as it packs two 50MP shooters at the back (a main and an ultrawide), along with a 50MP selfie camera.
Along with the photography capabilities, the V40 promises to be a reliable daily driver with its Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 platform, 12GB of RAM, and 5,500mAh battery. It also has a large 6.78-inch 1260 x 2800 resolution AMOLED display, along with an eye-catching design that’s also IP68 dust and water resistant.
