Following the launch of Version 1.1 last month, HoYoverse announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.2 will launch on September 25. As with the previous version update, this latest one will add two characters along with a big new area.
To be exact, this new version will expand the players’ journeys in New Eridu with the introduction of the desolate outskirts called teh OUter Ring. There, players will meet Caesar, Burnice, and other members from the Sons of Calydon.
Along with revealing details about the update, HoYoverse also shared an official trailer which you can watch here:
Unlike the more developed downtown of New Eridu, the Outer Ring is an underdeveloped and barren locale, though it does feature many different groups with simmering tensions due to the wealth of fuel resources. This area will be the location of the story’s next chapter, and there, players will work with Caesar and Burnice of the Sons of Calydon as they face off against The Vanquishers.
Caesar is the leader of the Sons of Calydon, and is an S-Rank Physical Defense Agent. She can provide allies with a shield buff, as well as deal damage and debuff enemies once Perfect Block or Defensive Assist is Triggered.
Meanwhile, Burnice is another S-Rank, though she’s a Fire Anomaly Agent. Burnice can deal plenty of Fire Damage and accumulate Anomaly Buildup to Burn enemies with two flamethrowers.

On top of the new location and characters, Version 1.2 will also feature a a time-limited survival shooting arcade game called “Bizarre Brigade” that will be available at Godfinger. Here, players can enjoy a mode with rogue-like elements, and by doing so, they can obtain various rewards.
Finally, Zenless Zone Zero will get optimizations for several game mechanics as part of the new version update. These include automatic acquisition of all Observation Data and rewards on the TV board with the help of FAIRY once finishing exploring the board for the first time. Players will also be able to enjoy improved animations for the TV Board
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.2 will be released on September 25 on all platforms.
