ASUS promises to deliver even more NUC PCs soon.

ASUS took over the NUC portfolio from Intel last year, and now, ASUS is celebrating this milestone by promising new innovations for the product lineup.

The NUC lineup was started by Intel, and it stands for Next Unit of Computing. Essentially, it’s a lineup of small form-factor Windows PCs. This series was under Intel for years, though in October 2024, ASUS took over the NUC portfolio. Since then, ASUS has released an array of mini PCs that are part of the lineup.

“As we celebrate our one-year anniversary of the successful takeover of the NUC portfolio from Intel, we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation and delivering cutting-edge technology to our customers,” said Jackie Hsu, Senior Vice President and Co-Head of the Open Platform Business Group and AIoT Business Group. “The introduction of the world’s first AI mini PC and a seamless transition for existing NUC users underscore our dedication to maintaining our leadership position in the industry.”

Just recently during IFA 2024, ASUS reveled the NUC 14 Pro AI. This latest model in the series is the first in mini PC in the world to be powered by an an Intel Core Ultra processor (Series 2) with Microsoft Copilot+. Thanks to the processor which comes with a dedicated NPU, the model comes with support for various AI tech.

Along with this, there’s also the ROG NUC and NUC 14 Performance which are made for gaming and for commercial use, respectively. While ASUS hasn’t revealed a new entry into the series to celebrate the anniversary of its takeover, the brand is expected to share even more AI-powered NUCs in the future.
