While the Fall 2024 season has only just begun, Crunchyroll has already announced some upcoming anime for January 2025.
To be exact, Crunchyroll announced four new shows that are coming early next year via its Industry Panel at SOFA (el Salón del Ocio y la FAntasía) 2024 which happened over the weekend.
While the complete Winter 2025 lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, fans can already look forward to these four upcoming titles:
Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2
Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun is a popular manga in Japan that combines the popular Japanese urban legend “Hanako-san of the Toilet” with a comedic twist. The manga was adapted into an anime by Lerche (of Classroom of the Elite fame) back in 2020.
It may have taken a while, but the series is finally getting a second season. This new season’s premise is described as:
There’s a rumor going around about the Seven Wonders of Kamome Academy. Nene Yashiro and her classmate, Kou Minamoto, work with Hanako-san to expose a traitor among the ranks of the Seven Wonders. After breaking No. 2, the Misaki Stairs, and No. 5, the 4 O’clock Library, only five remain. Can they uncover the perpetrator before it’s too late?
The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You Season 2
The 100 Girlfriends got a lot of attention last year thanks to how it took the harem romance genre to the extreme. Thanks to its popularity, it’s no surprise that the show is getting a second season in early 2025.
Season 1’s story is described as:
Rentaro Aijo was rejected 100 times in middle school. He visits a shrine and prays for better luck in high school. The God of Love appears and promises that he’ll soon meet 100 people he’s destined to date. But there’s a catch—once destiny introduces someone to him, the two must happily love each other. If they don’t, they’ll die. What will befall Rentaro and his 100 girlfriends in high school?
Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!
Another series to look forward to is Headhunted to Another World, a new isekai which sees a salaryman put his office skills to work to help the Demon King’s Army.
Its story is described as:
The Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon King’s army reign over a certain alternate world, and the one chosen as the fourth of them… is none other than an ordinary salaryman, Uchimura Dennosuke! After being headhunted by the Demon King’s army, Uchimura is welcomed into a director-level position… but business in the Demon King’s army is one life-or-death mission after another! Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms
Finally, we have Medaka Kuroiwa, a rom-com anime that follows the popular student Mona Kawai. While pretty much every guy falls for her, she meets her match in Medaka Kuroiwa.
Its premise is:
Gorgeous from head to toe! The perfect figure! To Kawai Mona, winning hearts comes as naturally as breathing… but the arrival of Kuroiwa Medaka, a new transfer student who won’t even give her a second look, turns her school life upside-down! She’s lived her whole life being fawned over, so why is he any different? Mona tries everything she can think of to win Medaka over, even getting a bit extreme at times! This new rom-com starring a queen bee and a celibate boy is about to burst onto the scene!
More details about these shows along with the rest of the Crunchyroll Winter lineup will be revealed as January 2025 inches ever closer.
