It has now been a week since its early access launch, and now, Bandai Namco revealed that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has sold over 3 million copies worldwide on all platforms.
What makes this more impressive is that Sparking! Zero has surpassed the 3 million copies sold mark in just 24 hours following its official release on October 11. As such, the current number may be higher now.
Of course, you could argue that the game technically didn’t sell 3 million copies during its launch day. After all, the game had a 3-day early access period for premium edition owners. As the game already entered the top sales charts on various platforms ahead of October 11, it means the game already got lots of sales even before the 11th.
Still, Sparking! Zero selling over 3 million copies makes the game a big success. It also shows just how popular Dragon Ball continues to be, along with the fact that there’s a big demand for good Dragon Ball games.
Given the game’s success, we won’t be surprised if more Dragon Ball titles are announced in the near future.
In our review, we called Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero “the dream game for fans in terms of combat and sheer wealth of content.” As such, if you’re a fan of the franchise, you’ll no doubt have a great time with this game.
