It has been nearly a year since the last game was released, and now, Sports Interactive and SEGA are gearing up to launch Football Manager 2025.
To be exact, this latest Football Manager game will be released on November 27, and it’s a big update for the series. That’s because this game features a switch to the Unity Engine which promises bigger technical and visual advancements. Along with visuals, Sports Interactive also mentioned that the game’s UI has been completely revamped for a more user-friendly experience. Plus, another highlight of FM25 is the debut of Women’s Football.
Regarding the latest series entry, Sports Interactive Studio Director Miles Jacobson said:
“It’s a great honour today to be confirming the forthcoming release of Football Manager 25.
As I’ve mentioned in interviews and development updates, the FM25 cycle has been challenging for the entire SI team.
FM25 is just the starting point for the studio’s next 20, 30 years. It’s also the point where the world gets to see two of our multi-year projects come to fruition: the switch to the Unity engine and the introduction of Women’s Football. It gives us a real sense of achievement to begin sharing our hard work with you and we’re really looking forward to showing you more of the game in the weeks before the game’s release.”
Alongside the release date, the studio also shared its gameplay focus roadmap which gives fans an idea of what they can expect during the year.
Football Manager 2025 is coming to PC & Mac on November 27. The game’s console version will also be releases on November 27 on Xbox and PS5. Plus, FM25 Console (Xbox) and FM25 (PC/Mac) will once again also be available via Xbox Game Pass.
Finally, the game’s Switch version titled Football Manager 25 Touch will be released on December 4, 2024.
