After the release of 2.5 last month, HoYoverse confirmed recently that Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.6 will be released on all platforms on October 23.
As with pretty much all big version updates for the game, the highlight here is the new 5-star character, Rappa. Aside from this new character, the latest update will also bring Trailblazers to Penacony’s prestigious Paperfold University.
The update’s premise is described as:
As the recent Xianzhou adventure concludes, players will journey back to Penacony and visit its Paperfold University, a prestigious cosmic institution bustling with activity as it prepares for a new semester and its anniversary celebrations. The campus is alive with clubs recruiting new members, and music performances fill the air. For this special occasion, the university is hosting an exclusive academic seminar, and as notable figures and stakeholders in Penacony, the crew of the Astral Express has been invited as distinguished guests to partake in the festivities. In the Version 2.6 Trailblaze Continuance mission, Banana Outrage: Battles Without Ninja and Humanity, the Trailblazer will step into Paperfold University as an auditing student, fully immersing in the joys of campus life. Alongside peers like March 7th and Dan Heng, Trailblazers will not only delve into the rigors of academic pursuits but also cultivate meaningful relationships, enriching this one-of-a-kind scholastic adventure.
Then, there’s Rappa, a unique character who is skilled in the art of ninjutsu. As such, Rappa recites ninja mantras and creates Ninja Seals, though she does it with rap and comic flair.
In battle, Rappa’s Ultimate lets her enter Sealform and unleash Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade in a first-person view. Attacking in this mode can attack deal damage to enemy groups and can reduce their Toughness without Imaginary Weakness.
Along with Rappa, the new version update will also bring back limited 5-star characters Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine during the first and second halves of the Version 2.6 warp event.
Finally, Version 2.6 will introduce the third Simulated Universe DLC after Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears. In this new part of the DLC, players can collect Scepters and enhance them with Components to strengthen their abilities. Players can then combine multiple Scepters and Components to unlock powerful synergies as the game progresses.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.6 will be released on October 23 on PC, iOS, Android, and PS5.
